Which is the better monitor for a Gigabyte 7950?

Hello Gamespot,

I have just bought a Gigabyte 7950 and am now looking for a monitor to complete my build. I'm looking for an IPS monitor that is below or around 300$. The two monitors that I am looking at are both from Asus.

My dilemma is that I want to be able to get 60fps from my 7950 for at least a few years, and I don't know if it will be able to do that at 1200p. Is the difference between 1200p and 1080p huge?

If you guys have any other suggestions for IPS monitors, please let me know. I'm looking for monitors that have an HDMI port, as I'll be hooking my PS3 up to it.
