Soon I'll be going to College and I've to get myself a Laptop for school projects and of course some little gaming. I have two choices.

Asus N81VP

• Intel Core 2 Duo 2.53 GHz

• 4 GB RAM DDR2

• 500 GB HD

• ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 1 GB DDR3

• 14.1 Inch Screen

• Windows 7 Home Premium

• Price : 930 Dollars

Toshiba Satellite L505-10X

• Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13 GHz

• 4 GB RAM DDR3

• 400 GB HD

• ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 1GB DDR3

• 15.6 Inch Screen

• Windows 7 Home Premium

• Price : 930 Dollars

I know they're pretty much the same but.. Is there a BIG difference between 2.13 GHz and 2.53 GHz CPU speed ? Which one would you recommend ?

Thank you. :)

I dont really know all that much about computers but that bit of extra CPU on the Asus wouldnt hurt when you game.

The screen is also alittle smaller on the Asus, but I would probably go with the Asus myself.

I'd say go for the ASUS.

It's slightly better and smaller, which I think is the main goal of portable computers.

Never had an ASUS though, so can't really tell if it's reliable.

They are essentially the same, but seeing as thought the Asus has a slightly faster cpu for the same price, and a bigger HDD, u'd be nuts not to go for it. Unless of course you really want a larger screen...

If a small screen's bothering You, You can always plug the beast in to a TV by a TV-Out, or use a standard PC monitor (I think it is a standard these days)

I think the smaller the better, 'cause I believe You want to buy a laptop for portability, am I right?

I just played the demo for Crysis on all high with my ATI mobility radeon HD 4650 with only 2.20 ghz cpu and depending on the happenings I got from between 15-32 fps with fraps on. (1024x768 resolution in windowed mode no AA)
Not amazing, but it hardly rendered it unplayable in the least. Was intense as hell =)
Just an idea of the gpu's capabilities.

Can play L4D2 with no lag btw too ^^

Man that convinced me. I forgot that I always have the option to plug the thing on a monitor. Thanks ! I think I'll go with the Asus. :)

Mine is the same DDR3 you listed.
