I'm currently stuck on these 2 monitors,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009094

 and

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824112003

I found a good deal on the acer, so the price on the 2 is basically the same. My question is, will the 100 difference contrast ratio be that big of a deal?

The Sceptre if you care about panel quality.

All 22" monitors have a TN panel, which can only display around 255,000 colors using tricks to display the other 16 million, suffer from poor viewing angles (if you look at it from the side, the picture looks like crap).

All I'm really worried about is: Will it look good. I don't care about all the little details, i won't be looking at it from weird viewing angles etc.

i just bought the 22 inch samsung 226bw, and i love it. i did a lot of research on monitors, and this was by far the best in all aspects. they try and trick you with the ratio, sometimes by using dynamic to make you think its higher, when a 2000:1 dynamic is really a 700:1
