  3. Call of Duty Game of the Year Edition---$14.92
  4. DarkStar One---$10.46
  5. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Game of the Year Edition---$14.99

Ok I spend a lot of time finding good bargains for games, so it's good to help someone else out for a change. First, Freelancer is $15 or so on amazon. Also Tom Clancy Chronicles is sold on amazon for $10 and it has Raven Shield, original Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon. Now, I'd say Starcraft battle chest, Morrowind and Freelancer. But if you're buying everything from amazon, consider TCC also. Freelancer doesn't have free shipping, TCC does along with SC and Morrowind, so you could save on shipping.

StarCraft Battlechest, SimCity 4 Deluxe and Jade Empire. I would have recommended AoM, but you already have an RTS with Startcraft. BiA and SW:RC are good, but not for the price quoted.

Morrowind, Starcraft, Rainbow Six, Sim City 4. Any of those. Morrowind is a pretty overwhelming game which would take hundreds upon hundreds of hours to complete. If you're into those games then I'd get it. Rainbow Six games are fun but are also short. Starcraft is a classic everyone should play, it's tons of fun. Sim City 4 is a pretty fun casual game, best of the series imo cause it's not overly complicated but it's not dumbed down either.

There's one for $22 from gogamer. Also these jewel case versions of games only gives you a jewel case with the disk in it?

I find the newer Call of Duty games to be a little overrated, and I have Oblivion on my Xbox 360. As for Guild Wars, that's one of the ones that I'm really considering.

I've purchased many of the games on that list for much cheaper than those prices. The only games I considered reasonable are Medieval 2 and Jade Empire. Actually, the Guild Wars collection is not a bad price either but I couldn't get into it.

If you're basing it on Simcity 2000, 4 is miles different. It's pretty casual, but if you want that, it's good. Personally I'd recommend Starcraft over it. For $5 more, you get probably the best RTS ever.

1. The Icewind Dale Collection, IF it's the 3 in 1 box set with IWD2.

2. Starcraft Battlechest. although you can probably get it cheaper.

3. Guildwars. without the other chapters this might not seem a good buy, but it's still a very good game in its own.

i would also recommend Freelancer for its open-ended gameplay.

I'm into RTS a lot. When I first started out, I wanted to play the best ones that had come out and posted in a lot of places asking what's the best RTS game ever. Every single time, Starcraft and brood war was the most mentioned game. It is indeed amazing. Look up some games on youtube with english commentary. You'll realize why. Now about Simcity 4, I was posting at 1:30 am last night and mixed up characteristics of Simcity Societies with 4 . Simcity 4 is worth the money, especially if you were into 2000. However if that means passing over Starcraft, then I'd recommend no. You can get all 3 for $50 and with morrowind mods and starcraft online, that's at least 500+ hours of gaming for $50.

Personally, the top 3 from those I'd say Fear, Icewind Dale and Starcraft. That way you get a brilliant FPS, a brilliant RPG and a brilliant RTS. Although SC and ID are pretty dated now.

Morrowind Game Of The Year Edition (Plus many mods)

Almost all of those could be up here but these are my favorite games and they have a ton of longevity.

That's what I thought about the Sims City thing. And, should I get StarCraft or Sins of a Solar Empire? I tried the Sins demo, and it's great. The only demo I've played more than once, besides Republic Commando.

I have $23 now, so I've narrowed it down to a few choices.

  1. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Game of the Year Edition
  2. Guild Wars (Maybe Game of the Year Edition)
  3. StarCraft Battlechest
  4. SimCity 4 Deluxe
  5. Sins of a Solar Empire.

Please help me.

[QUOTE="manningbowl135"][QUOTE="Phoenix534"] I'm into RTS a lot. When I first started out, I wanted to play the best ones that had come out and posted in a lot of places asking what's the best RTS game ever. Starcraft is a game for the ages. But since you only have money for one game now, you might want a game that'll consume more of your time. Save up for SC II. Half of PC gamers will play that throughout 2010. Don't miss out on it.

All those are good games, so narrow it down by what you want. Do you definitely want a RPG? If so, what's better? A mmorpg or a open world single player one? I'm going on and on, so I'd recommend Morrowind. Simcity 4 also consumes a lot of time and very addictive. But Morrowind with its endless mods will take up as much time as you allow it to. It's easily the best bang for the buck.

If you are really looking for my opinion i'd say Morrowind or Neverwinter nights. Neverwinter nights above Morrowind, as it is online and will keep you preoccupied for days if not months, assuming that's what you want.

Get the Starcraft battleset, or Morrowind. You can't go wrong either way. Sim City 4 is fun but it won't be as satisfying as the other 2
