Thanks for the opinion ^^ I was thinking that that Asus one was pretty good too but its just so hard to decide which would be best for me when looking at the specs because I understand the significance of some things but i'm not exactly computer literate =P[QUOTE="andyroo08"]Seriously I had really big problems with HP and I would never ever suggest u HP even if its mouse !!! As long as it isn't the AMD mobile platform you should be good. my dv5 hasn't failed yet. Try to avoid Nvidia graphics in laptops, they tend to fail. From those, I would definately go for HP DV6.

The main reason i'm considerig the HP is because it has the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 which is quite a bit better than the Nvidia130m.. Ugh such a difficult decision x_x Someone said this though "-No wireless N- No problem at the moment but it will be someday -A dialup modem? Isn't it 2009. It's just wasted weight/wattage/space and inhibits cooling." Does no wireless N mean no wireless network as in you cant connect with wi-fi?From those, I would definately go for HP DV6.

It's funny, I was newegg shopping like mad today, I actually went for the HP dv6. This will actually be my first laptop, always had a desktop, mainly getting it for college and *little* gaming. It is the best bang for the buck man, assuming the laptop isnt DOA. I called at least 5+ stores today trying to get them to beat it...always ended with a "eh...we just can't offer anything better man"...kinda loved shoving it in dell's face. Im excited to get it! Good luck on whatever ya get!
p.s. yea, a laptop for $650 with a ati 4650 is a steal...along with the other specs.
I want mine to mod Oblivion most of all, but I would enjoy to be able to play other games on it too ^^It's funny, I was newegg shopping like mad today, I actually went for the HP dv6. Playing ? Elder Scroll IV Oblivion on a laptop ? that just sound nearly impossible unless you play at 1024x780 & Half Medium Setting with the Feature such as Shadow Disabled mostly
here the Gpu chart for notebook it all about mostly the gpu of weither you can run oblivion smooth or not on a laptop it pricy : id suggest a desktop pc build over a laptop but if you want a laptop badly you must understand a gaming laptop even in 2009 / 2010 does cost a load even with sales

If I cant make the sale for the HP DV6, the only other laptop within the price range I can get that has the 4650 has an AMD Turion II M520(2.3GHz) CPU in it.From those, I would definately go for HP DV6.

Because Amd Cpu : as from what i know are Weaker then intel counter part he say so : unless the Turion II M520 is Good but i haven't heard good of Turion http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Processors-Benchmarklist.2436.0.html
#94 CPU Notebook Click Ctrl+F and Click M520 : See ur self ;)
it sure cpu is less important then gpu but Turion are bad cpu's but a HD4650 is much powerful notebook gpu then GT220M so it a Steal sort off but don't expect high value of gaming laptop of those price many people get deceived every year it a shame id like notebook to have swappable gpu but it not any near of possible
I'm getting the HP DV6 hopefully. The extra power in the graphics card will be invaluable for trying to play Oblivion =PBecause Amd Cpu : as from what i know are Weaker then intel counter part he say so : unless the Turion II M520 is Good but i haven't heard good of Turion http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Processors-Benchmarklist.2436.0.html
