- Tiger Direct = www.tigerdirect.com/
- Static Ice = www.staticice.com/.au/index.html
- PC Authority = www.pcauthority.com.au/index.aspx

- PC World = www.pcworld.com/
- Hot Hardware = www.hothardware.com/.default.aspx
- Tom's Hardware = www.tomshardware.com/us

I always put user reviews above company reviews. It seems more meaningful to me that a bunch of poeple bought a product because of quality rather than hearing how much a company likes it. I think we all know that there are places out there that are kept on a watchful eye about how their products are viewed by companies. I like Newegg reviews because it's easy to see what works for poeple and what doesn't. The only thing you really have to worry about are people who are completely loyal to certain name brands no matter how bad they are.

Anandtech, HardOCP, FiringSquad, Sharkyextreme, PC Stats, X-Bit Labs, guru3d...

I find reviews done at the place you order from like newegg humorous, you have no idea if it was written by the manufacturer, newegg edits them, they aren't based on any scientific testing, they are subject to the reviewer's mood and worse their inability to build a computer or in other terms user error.

I know they're video card reviews can't be trusted, but can their other reviews (Like PSU reviews or Motherboard reviews) Be trusted? Just curious.

Anything that isn't done by Kyle can be trusted, I reckon. Reviews done by Kyle on subjects other than graphics should probably cross referenced with another review.

I wonder what LordEC thinks...

OK, I have a confession to make. I brought up HardOCP just to start a debate. To be completely honest this time around, I don't use any websites for hardware reviews or articles. I just don't like the way any of them are laid out. I read actual print magazines: Maximum PC, Computer Power User, and Smart Computing. Yes, I know that the websites are a little more current, but I really like the print mags better.

I like Anandtech, xbitlabs, gurud3D, Techreport and several others. Tomshwardware is fine, there is nothing wrong with their benchmarks. The only problem is with their charts which are useless since they are updated so infrequently, but the charts are only a small percentage of the site, and out of those its really the VGA charts that are unreliable. CPU charts aren't driver dependant so they hold plenty of water.

Again, its not because THW is unprofessional or biased, its just the VGA charts are useless because of drivers.

The best option is to have more than 1 hardware site to refer to. Have 3 or 4 reliable websites and see if the data correlates with eachother. If one of the sites has data that sticks out like a sore thumb, then they obviously had a few issues with the test system or something more sinister could be at hand.

I even question anandtech sometimes if their results differ from other hardware sites.

So yeah, always take advice from more than one source--I guess you could use that advice for anything in life really...

yup.

The most you usually get is " This cpu sucks. I try to fit in board and it doesnt go in. Intel very bad company, this cpu sucks 0/5"

Anandtech is reallty the only place even remotely credible and even they have been doing sloppy reviews recently. Like not seeing obvious cpu bottlenecks when testing videocards etc etc.
