I'm looking into buying my first decent headset, and I want to get a good one without spending over $100. I would like to buy one that I can use for both my Xbox360 and my PC. I would prefer to have a wireless one, but wired is ok too. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good headset with these qualities? I was looking at maybe Turtle Beach X12's or X31's. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I avoid Turtle Beach like the plague.

On the 360 you can't, simply because they're the only low-cost producer of headsets for the 360.

Wireless is bad because you have to keep it charged, and it tends to have more noise and interference.

Wired is best.

My preferred brand is Plantronics because the cables are military grade, the sound quality is nice, and the headset is nicely padded.

This would be better for the Audio/Video Discussion board. Don't recommend turtle beaches. Matter of fact....they suck. I recommend getting headphones and a mic separately.

Don't buy TB if you want a decent sound system.

Sound card and headphones....only way to go.

I'd go for the Astro A40s with the mixamp. Turtlebeach headphones get a lot of attention but aren't that good from what I've heard

You should NOT buy Turtle Beaches and you should NOT buy a gaming headset. Buy a nice pair of headphones and a cheap clip on or desk mic.

Ad700 + soundcard

or Ultrasones dj1 + soundcard

Add a seperate mic if necessary. Headsets sacrifices sq to add a mic, so meh to that.
