Looking at your choice of processor and card , id guess that your building on a budget. And if your biggest priority is gaming , ddr3 ram is too expensive for the perfomance increase at the moment. Also i think 4 gigs of ram is not really required . You would be better off spending that extra money on a better card. I'd personally take the 8400. You should also post ur other parts (especially psu) and their prices .

Well DDR3 doesent giva ANY advantage unless you plan to overclock above 4.5Ghz! Also i would recommend a Q6600 with an 8800GT, 2GB's 800Mhz RAM & a Arctic Freezer Pro 7! :D
But if you need to save money swap the Q6600 for an E8400 (if its cheaper where you live)!
Thanks ALOT for the help guys. anymore suggestions are welcome :)Immortal_Evil
Out of those three I would go with #2, it would most likely perform just a little better in most games. If you are on a budget, get rid of the ddr3 and stick with ddr2, you can probably save about $100. Put that extra money towards a 8800gts 512 and then get whichever CPU(Q6600 or E8400) is cheaper.
