i'ld say the X2 it has 2 coresĀ  + i think it has a bigger cache

for gaming though neither of them are worth putting in a new rigĀ

WoWĀ barelyĀ requiresĀ anyĀ CPUĀ power.Ā TheĀ gameĀ isĀ prettyĀ basic.Ā YouĀ shouldĀ beĀ ableĀ toĀ runĀ itĀ perfectlyĀ withĀ thoseĀ CPUsĀ

Wow, again someone who just randomly claims things with no backing. The X2 3800+ is FINE FOR GAMING! You can't seriously say that it is not worth putting in a rig. Seriously, every single game right now can EASILY be played with that processor. Why people insist on claiming that they aren't that good drives me nuts. For the most part, games will not be bottlenecked by a processor unless the processor is basically 3 models back (I mean even the single core AMD 64s can play modern games fine). Generally the problem is the graphics card. So stop making stupid comments like that

Get at least a gig of ram.

Ā Judging by your sig, your planning to get a 7300...

I really wouldn't suggest that, get a 7600GT (or higher) if you can, insteadĀ

You most likely wont notice the difference and yes that would workĀ  but get a processor with a fan unless you plan to order one seperately.

Remember if you upgrade you might have to call Microsoft to reactivate windows which is stupid. Just tell them it's the same computer and that you put a new graphics card in there. If you tell them it's a new motherboard they won't give you the other installation ID you need to activate windows.
