[QUOTE="SimplyFatal"]Guys, think of it as your only rts game throughout the year. Which game would you get then? My would definetly be empire total war. That game is just mind blowing!Enosh88
except the fact that is isn't a rts

Actually it is, its a historic real-time strategy game...At the very least, I'm going to get Dawn of war 2 and Starcraft 2. I also want Empire: total War, but only if my computer can run it, which I'm led to doubt.
I voted for Dawn of War 2 because I'm MUCH more excited for it than for starcraft 2.

Actually it is, its a historic real-time strategy game...not realy, no.
the strategy part is quite cleary turn based and the battle are real time tactics, not strategy.
so no, it isn't a rts
Starcraft 2 and Dawn of War 2. I've yet to see if the campaign if DoW 2 is up to the quality of SC's. Until now, my most awaited is SC2, though I'm playing nonstop the DoW 2 beta. Tales of Valor seems to be another Soulstorm and E:TW won't run in my system, considering I can barely startup M2:TW.404-not-found
Empire has lower requirements than DOW2. You should be fine.
Since, only one option to choose - I am going for "Company of Heroes" of course, it's the mother of all RTS. Apart from that, new World in Conflict, DoW II is also on my radar. Starcraft 2 and total war is secondary at this moment.arijit_2404
If CoH is the mother, DoW 2 is the abusive father.

Really? I once downloaded the Medieval 2: Total War demo and it was a slideshow. I hope you're right.Starcraft 2 and Dawn of War 2. Really? I once downloaded the Medieval 2: Total War demo and it was a slideshow. I hope you're right. IIRC, Total War is much demanding game than DoW games. I am not talking about turns in TW games, the battles are huge in Total War (after all that's the selling point of the series) and it requires better machines than DoW. My last PC was able to run DoW Dark Crusade easily. But it was very slow at M2, Rome was good though.[QUOTE="bangell99"][QUOTE="404-not-found"]Starcraft 2 and Dawn of War 2. I don't think so ... you can think Total War as the Crysis for RTS genre ... very difficult to max out (or even come close to it) especially with big armies[QUOTE="404-not-found"][QUOTE="bangell99"]Really?
