The oh so traditional Tiberium Wars?
The super fast World in Conflict?
The new and improved COH:Opposing Fronts?
Or do you have a soft spot for the up and coming Universe at War?
you can also include any old titles that you liked.

Age of Empires. I spent many years playing that game online. It's all about speed, and strategy. You have to know just how much you want to create, and still save your resources for emergencies and things like that. And catching enemies by surprise, or sneaking around the front of their base and attacking them from the rear and things like that, make for great times.
I've always loved AoE, but really never caught onto AoE II or 3 as far as online. They just didn't interest me to play them competitively as much as the first one did.
Company of Heroes AND The Total War series.

Best RTS.
1. Total Annihilation- All of it. (but the add-ons won't play on most XP boxes)
2. Conquest: Frontier Wars- Best 2D-3D in space. Eats Star Trek: Armada 1&2 & Star Wars: Empire at War alive, in game play & map & terrain . Conquest 2: The Curium Uprising, got it!!!
3. Company of Heroes- i kill you i take your stuff.
4. Command and Conquer- All but Generals it retards the sea craft & missions the change too much in battle. (Rocket Bikes forever!!)
5. Earth 2160- free for all on building & make your own craft (good graphics, Earth 2140, 2150 sucked)
6. Star Wars: Empire at War- the space battles. (Forces of Corruption & the land battles suck)
7. Dungeon Keeper 2- Time to be bad.
8. Stronghold 1&2 Crusader- Time to get medieval on your ash.
9. (oops not real time) Final Liberation: Warhammer Epic 40,000- jest fun!
9. Warhammer 40k dawn of war- should be more like the table top or have less building resections.
10. MechCommander Gold & 2- i kill you i might get your stuff next mission.
11. Warcraft II & III- cute, pretty, colorful, magical.
12. Heritage of Kings: The Settlers (more of a sim city builder) (needs walls)
13. Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom- it good too be King
14. Battle Realms- needs to have bigger maps, faster building, higher unit cap. (may-be Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties)
15. Star Trek: Armada 1&2- (bad graphics & map terrain)
# ? mmm. Supreme Commander- Total Annihilation plays better and faster.
Starcraft- Played it found it a bit silly, too surrealistic in graphics & play
Haven't been any great RTS games for a long time. The last great RTS game I've played is RoN. Dune 2 was also great, would like to see a good sequel to that oneADG_
Yeah they havent come out with any old school rts style games since RON.
I guess you can count AOE 3, but not really.
I usually stay away from RTS games as i don't find them that interesting and i generally suck at them full stop. But i got given a copy of Rise of Nations for a christmas and really enjoyed it, i thought the game was amazingly good and entertaining for a genre i usually stay away from.
However i haven't played an RTS game since Rise of Nations, mainly because i dislike them and don't want to waste my money on one and find i dont enjoy it.
Battle Realms.Workers could be trained 3 arts.Or all 3 together.sammiloThat game was a lot of fun, too bad we won't be seeing Battle Realms 2 anytime soon.:(
i love Dawn of War: Dark Crusade because it involves all the races, and the necrons freaking kick arse. Also the new units are pretty wicked.freek666
Same here....I love the entire Dawn of War series, particularly Dark Crusade.....but I find it interesting that no one has mentioned Supreme Commander as a favorite. I think that game is fantastic, but only when speaking of the online multi-player not the single player campaign.
Age of Empires 2 and StarCraft for me.
Rome: Total War isn't really a traditional RTS, but it's a hell of a strategy game.
I really love Dawn of War-its so over the top.I just about lol when I first saw the orchs mech.(don't remember the name) grab a, marine and crack him in half and fling him aside. Also, the story is pretty interesting.
I just got Company of Heroes-I hope its as good as DOW.

I really really liked DoW - especialy after my former intrested in the 40k universe, but damn.... CoH still amazes me to this day.
I really enjoy Company of Heroes, although I have no gotten the expansion yet.w7w7w7w7w7The expansion is as good as the orignal game.
Heck in many aspects better - because of the two campaigns.
And the two new armies are nothing short of amazing.
If anything its like a sequal. Terribly underrated on GS.
