Hi guys I finally picked what T.V. i wanted for my xbox 360 the LNS-4695D And it has a contrast ratio of 6000:1 and is supposed to work great with the 360 but then i looked at the LNS-4696D and it seems to have everything the same except it has a Contrast ratio of 7000:1

Which is better?

hmmm. They look like the same tv don't they!? Buy both :) jk! The 4696 is probably the newer model version of the same TV. Can't see a diff. between the two. Maybe you should call up Samsung and ask.

The 4696D is the better buy out of them both. The 4695D is still a great TV don't get me wrong, and should be coming down in price here really quick, but an extra 1000:1 contrast, even on the Dynamic scale makes the blacks that much deeper and the picture that much better. If you have no budget go for the 4696, if you have one then the 4696 will be just fine.

Oh yea! I THOUGHT it was suspicious, but I didn't wanna make myself look like a retard I've seen the 4695D in action (spent about an hour watching Direct TV HD, SD, and the Blu-Ray demo at Best Buy) and the picture is quite good. I think the difference between the two is in the inputs for both. Something called an R32YGB or something input on the back that isn't on the 4695D. Add to that cable card compatibility and you have more of a 4695D.5 than a true update on the TV.

Go for the 4695D. A cable box just isn't that big of a deal...and I can't name 1 electronic I own that uses the R32YGB (Hope thats right) connection. Save yourself some major cash.
