Intel Core 2 Quad Core 6600, Nvidia 8800 GTX, 4GB Corsair Dominator RAM or Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6850, Nvidia 8800 GTX, 4GB Corsair Dominator RAM? Will I be able to play Crysis on very high with a solid framerate? Also which would you say is the better machine for gaming in general and is it worth getting vista or should I go with XP? Oh and its a XPS 720 if that makes a difference and yes I know its cheaper to build your own.

Wow I have the EXACT same spec as the first one you mentioned, and yes its also an XPS 720 :) .

I've yet to test crysis out on it, but ive been told that on my spec (and hence yours) Crysis should have no problem running on high. However with a few downloadable configs you can also probably run it on very high ;)

^^^^^^

It wont perform as well, but its a significantly better value for its performance than the other two setups and will still let you run crysis at good settings (provided you dont own a 30 inch LCD at that 2.5k resolution)

I would recommend it.

They're both really similar. A slight change in the CPU isn't going to make a real noticeable difference. Nonetheless, both should be able to play Crysis on high with a smooth framerate.

And one of the most important components. If you can go for Windows XP. Trust me 100% worth it.
