I'd say get both but I'm bias towards Squad.

They are both quite different actually. Siege is very close quarters combat. Squad is more open like ARMA, but not as huge or complex.

Hope it's not too late but try squad. I got the siege for free with my new gfx card and the servers are just bad, sometimes the matchmaking just hangs and I have to restart the game. The game itself will get pretty old really fast as it's entirely close quarter combat and I think Squad would make a better game as the team sizes are bigger...

Well, at least siege is a "full" game. Personally I'd pick squad just because it's going to be a much larger game (in about a year) but right now it certainly isn't up to the quality of Siege. Take your pick based on your favorite type of game and whether you can deal with the bullshit of corporate DLC whoring.

Squad.

As said above the servers for Siege are horrid. I don't know this personally but my best friend told me the same thing as well. I think it would get stale fast too, being entirely close quarters combat. I played the beta a lot but I was really turned off but the constant close up shooting and lost interest pretty quickly. Wait until they fix the server issues.

I'd get Siege. Squad is in really early access and doesn't really resemble a fully featured game at the moment. You won't be getting your moneys worth anytime soon, that's for sure. By the time it's really worthwhile, it'll probably come on sale. Siege on the other hand kicks ass. Not sure why people think it's exclusively close quarters - I'd say most of my combat happens at a medium range. There wouldn't be a sniper class if it was only close range combat. I have 60+ hours in the game, so maybe I just know how to vary up the strategy a bit. If you sit in the corner of the objective room the whole match, obviously you're going to induce close range combat (this is what newbs mostly do). Thankfully they give you many options on how to approach any situation.

It's all up to you.. it really depends on what gameplay you prefer. I'd personally get Seige but Squad will have bigger community which won't die nearly as fast.

>Most people are saying Squad

I'm impressed, Gamespot. Normally the posters on this website have terrible taste in everything but here you've actually picked the better game despite it being less popular.

Well the problem is that you're comparing two totally different games, and on top of that one is in early access/beta while the other one has launched.

I haven't played Squad but just because it's officially launched I would go with Siege, then get Squad down the track when it's finished.
