I love my Palit 8800GT Sonic. Its aftermarket cooler is quieter and more effective than the standard one, and all at a much lower price. Prices for their more recent cards have been identical to the competition though, so I'm not sure there's anything in it anymore. I think Palit is actually the same company as Gainward, who produced my Geforce 256DDR. That was an amazing card when it came out, and lasted me for years.
We arent discussing Vga card models (ati or nvdia) only trademarks. (Like palit, msi, asus, axle, zotac) For example palit produces ati and nvida chipsets.

ATI makes very good in-house Radeon cards. (or at least they used to - haven't bought a ATI Radeon card since the X800XL - not sure if they make in-house cards anymore)

I have had zotac and palit(xpertvision) bothhave been very good the palit was better thoughliked the cooler on the card. I've had msi in the past also but not that impressive.
Well, my HIS for ATI is running well. But if I had to choose from the list, MSI. I had a MSI TV tuner which worked very well in my last PC, considering TV tuner isn't their specialty.
