Which video card for new pc?

Hey, I'm about to build a PC for the first time, and this video card was suggested to me by a few users on this forum. A friend then told me that this or this would be better. I'm mostly going to be playing games like Crysis, Far Cry 2, WiC, TF2, Stalker, Spore, etc. Which do you think is the best? Or something better around the price of the first one?

High with some settings on very high on crysis, Far cry2 we cant tell as the game isn't released yet,

And the HD4870 is alot faster than the 8800GTS you've mentioned, and the 9800GTX is no match either.

So the system requirements are not generally a good way to gauge how well a PC could run it?

Far Cry 2 will not nearly punish your hardware as much as Crysis:

Sound: 5.1 sound card recommended

NVidia 6800, NVidia 7000 series, 8000 series, 9000 series, 200 series. 8800M and 8700M supported for laptops. ATI X1650 - 1950 series , HD2000 series , HD3000 series , HD4000 series
