PC forum dude, PC master race has no need for anything as petty as consoles or broccoli or sex. So please leave peasant.

But seriously, when I get a new console, it will likely be PS4 first, or even PS4 only. The Xbox One is just looking worse and worse with all the news coming in, all the bad stuff about PC gaming without any of the good in the from of restrictive DRM, always online functionality, and constant company control of our games and system.

What does this have to do with the PC forum?

Anyway, having a (still) nice PC rig in the first place, a 360 and PS3 on the side; Microsoft sure cockblocked me at their first reveal.
Would I like to switch out a console; it'd be for a PS4.

Seriously though from what's been revealed so far i'd go the PS4 first and then get the Xbox when it's cheaper, only if it has a badass lineup of exclusives.

I'll be buying a new PC. :P

Been using my PC solely for years, now I think I can get a new console with a solid library games for cheap. No guessing who will have what great title or better library. The dust has settled enough wouldn't you say?

Seriously, buying a console at release is the major joke i've ever seen.

I'll buy the PS4 first, once it gets a bigger library.

Will buy the Xbone a couple of years later.

Neither. I'm selling my PS3 soon, going back to PC-only. I may pick up an Nvidia Shield, though.

I won't be buying either for several years - just bought a PS3 actually. It's sounding like the XBOX ONE is a disaster waiting to happen. Of course, Microsoft is very successful, so they must know what they're doing - just like Atari, Sierra, Sega. and the amazing Wii U.

The pre-orders are very high on Amazon UK. I think you need to remember that Gamespot forums represents a microscopic portion of the community.

I've always got sony console and always found game that i like from 1 to 3 so definitely a  PS4 but  only after few months of its release preferably a bundle as i've started gaming on my CS PC..... and also to see how the game and it's overall progression.... 

Probably neither.  I will be building a new pc.  Because after these new consoles release, you can expect minimum pc game requirements to suddenly advance quicker than they have in recent years.

If I were to get either, it would be the PS4. The Xbox one is wayyyyy too invasive and I personally think that the exclusives on the PS4 look a lot better.

neither initially, if the PS4 gets some exclusives I want I'll pick it up sometime down the road when its cheaper

Reading the responses from this forum really sheds light on a lot of these posters. I'm starting to understand why most of the PC forums is infested by morons. For example, check this forum any day of the week and you'll see a thread about another random multi-platform game. "Bioshock Infinite best PC game!" or "Assassins Creed PC GOTY!" or "Grand Theft Auto, can't wait for PC port!"

LOL omg idiots. All the games you love to play so much are console games. Why don't you do us all a huge favor, sell your PC and go buy a Playstation or an Xbox and play your favorite games the way they were designed to be played! With clunky controllers and big television sets! My god, please stop posting in the PC forums about Non-PC games and then go on about how you're only upgrading your PC because you can't find a reason to owna console.

LOL what a way of killing themselves, paid online service, more expensive console.. meh in 2005 xbox was cheaper than ps3 on release the following year and console gamers didn't really mind about the paid xbox live thing.

I wonder if that price difference means better hardware or just microsoft sillyness for their useless addons like kinnect 2.0

Not sure if in this console generations games will perform equally on ps and xbox.. on ps3 x360 generation multiplats performed so lollishly bad on the sony console.
