Which Worms game is the best and why?

Worms 2! Its a classic! 2d graphics. Then unlockables like scottish vioce-overs (you get these in the newer ones too). Its a classic. the newer ones try to make it 3d and such. Not as fun. 0Goldeneye0

yeah Worms World Party gets my vote except it doesnt work on XP (not for me anyway)

I'm pretty sure Armageddon is the one that doesn't work on XP, and WWP does, seeing as it's a newer version.

And I don't really see how anyone can vote Armageddon. Isn't WWP simply the same game with more? Correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't played Armageddon since I had my old Win 98 computer, but I seem to recall World Party simply having more content.

true WWP had more stuff and was IMO much better, but no i definitely meant that WWP did not work in XP yet Armageddon did. dont ask me why, i know its older. it could of just been my system though. i couldnt get it to work no matter what i did.

I've had no problems running Amagedon in XP either but WWP I was only able to run in 98.thanatose

Wow, that's incredibly odd. I've had no problems whatsoever running WWP in XP, but I've never been able to run Armageddon in XP - it just fails to start and I get some uninformative error no matter what I tried.

LOL. thats what happens to me for WWP. thats hell weird.

first i wouldnt even consider the 3d versionsof worms.. they somehow lose the essence that made this series famous... if i had to choose from worms 1-4 i'd definitely say no3 armaggedon... the game rocks,its timeless and still has its multiplayer alive.. (btw its the only game,beside abes oddyseethat inever did and never will try to remove them from my pc.. next generation games may look and sound better but they have short expiration days

Armageddon is a huge improvement over 2, and World Party is a small improvement over Armageddon, and I'm getting the feeling that I'm spelling Armageddon wrong. :P

People vote for Worms 2 because it is thetitle that pretty much made the franchise. Everyone else heard about Worms Armageddon from the fun people were having with W2. W2 featured a neat on-line mode which also made BnG and Roperz maps very popular. The fun with W2 was playing cases ladder on-line with BnG. Armageddon and WWP will be the more popular choice because that is when people started recognizing the game. IMO it all started from W2 so the king is dead, long live the king.
