I've actually started to feel sorry for andrew ryan :P I mean heres a guy who spends all his money and time on building his own underwater city (basically a shrine to himself with people living there) and then he has not only fontaine but also sophia lamb try to wrestle control from him, its really gotta suck having these leeches try to steal what's yours.

You'll lose that pretty quickly as you progress in the game and see what he did.

Thats one of the things I love about Bioshock and why I think its a superior game to System Shock. You have a character like Ryan who on the surface seems evil but is actually a tragic figure.

Yea I played the first game and I realize the city did go to hell and he really did nothing about it, but I think of rapture as his city and the fact that fontaine and lamb are trying wrestle control away really shows that whole "parasite" concept he was trying to get away from on the surface. They're trying to steal what they had no hand in building.

Currently about half done with BS2. I find many of the audio tapes just a useless bunch of double talk babble not adding anything to the game story. Overall though, this is a fun game after you remove the craptastic low fov.

Do enjoy the rich environment and setting, so nice to play something non-military.

How do you fix the fov? It's stopping me from playing the game and I haven't found a good solution yet.

I don't think we should feel sad for a misguided idiot. All the money and ambition don't mean anything in the hands of a lunatic.

I like this type of bigger than life character though. And I also like Sophia Lamb and her H. G. Wells styIe rhetoric.

You'll need to edit the user.ini file in appdata/roaming (in Vista64 anyway) and bind the fov command to a key like this...

F11=SetFOV 40
F12=SetFOV 110

You need to hit F12 after a ingame video or after exiting a Vita Chamber.

110 is what I normally use. I sometimes use the 40 to briefly zoom in on something far away.
