I must say, TF2 might be the main reason why I'll be purchasing. Sure, Half-Life is one of my favorite game series, but TF2 will definitely be played the most out of the three of them.
after HL2 ... i didn't even bother buying or playing episode 1 ... didn't bother that much for the story to play it now i pre-ordered orange box and just played episode 1 this week (i liked it, it's action full and all, but not even 5 hours of game play ... so i'm happy to not have bought it at 20$) now that i played episode 1, i feel a revival of my hype for the Half-Life story line, i will play episode 2 for sure, but i'll start by enjoying TF2 first :D
Even though I've been keeping up with the story, and so am excited about EP2, the reason why I preordered the game was so I can play TF2 early. I've been waiting for this game since 1999.

Since when are Valve constantly releasing new maps for CS:S?
css is getting old a bit .... but valve is still offering a strong support for it, and in the first year after it's release, css received many many new maps
Funny, I will be buying orange box solely for portal and I will also check out the two expansions for HL2. I've never really been interested in TF since I had a crappy internet connection back when it was popular and i sorta just forgot about the game. I will surely look closer at TF2 since it'll be included in orange box.
