Who else isn't looking forward to GoW PC?

I'm sorry but as much as I'd like to like the game, I'm just not feeling it. I'll admit, I only played the Xbox 360 version for about 30 minutes and so only played like one level, it really didn't impress me. Idk, maybe games like CoD4 and Crysis are overshadowing it for me but does anyone else feel this way? I mean, when GoW first came out, every 360 owner was like "ZOMG!! Gears of War!!!" But maybe us PC gamers are used to better games ;) What do you guys think? Forerunner-117

Unless it's completely redone for the PC then it will just be considered a simple port. In my experiences, ports suck.

Exactly! the point is, there are sooo many good games coming out in the near future (especially november) that if you're on a budget, you have to be selective and right now GoW (for me) doesn't make the cut.

How about GoW on PC using Mouse and Keyboard? I think it'd be awesome. I'm hyped for it as Gears was one of the games I wanted a 360 for. Now that it's coming to PC I can remain a hermit ;p

GOW to me has a serious case of consolitis. While the port is supposed to add a new chapter or a new series of levels, it still is a very short game. in addition, the game also has the silly windows live requirement to play online, and i cant see that really being used all that much, especially when compared to the other shooters coming out this fall with better multiplayer.

Well regardless, I really hope it doesn't suck. I enjoyed it on the Xbox 360, but I've become disabled/handicapped when it comes to the Xbox 360's controller, or ANY console controller for that matter. My mouse and keyboard are like extra limbs, and I like it that way.

Gears of War on the PC looks satisfyingly fast paced, as the Xbox's version didn't feel very fast paced at all. My decision to buy this game or not ultimately come down to it's ratings and reviews.

Epic and M$ to stop porting 360 games to the PC and start making some PC exclusives IMO.

GoW for 360 was awesome. Probably the best game for that platform. Coop was awesome. But I'm not buying another copy just to play on the PC.

As pc gamers, we're pretty much spoiled when it comes to shooters. When I saw Gears the first time I thought it looked like just another shooter, certainly not competition for halflife 2 or even F.E.A.R. to be honest. I figured I might pick it up when it hits the $19.95 rack, but excited? lol, hell no.Delius

Why did you think it was just another shooter? It's not an FPS so I don't think it can be compared to other FPSs. It's a 3rd-person shooter that uses a cover system. Nothing new, but a cover system isn't used that much in 3rd person shooters...on the PC anyway.

there were very few console games tht i always wished to play on the pc...sometime back it was GoW. i havent played the game at all but by just looking at the gameplay movies i had this urge of playing this game. i am happy that this game is coming out on pc but rite now the only game tht is on my mind is crysis.ooh yeah...the other game i wish came out on pc is the new metal gear. i have played all the metal gear series but this one looks good. if it doesnt make it to the pc....ahh well it really doesnt matter coz i will have crysis and far cry2 by tht time.

I'm not a console gamer. I spent the weekend with relatives that have a 360 with GoW... We beat it co-op on every level. The PC version is going to have a 5th chapter and more multiplayer modes. Yes, I'm getting it and I am looking forward to it. It was a blast.

30 minutes? You're not actually qualified to comment in that case. Come back when you have played through the first couple of chapters.

i'm kinda looking forward to gow, i find the single player boring - but it's one of my all-time favourite coop games - and once the mod community gets in there, we could see some awesome stuff

if someone could tweak the ai to respond a little more to suppressive fire (by being suppressed, bia style), then the move-and-fire two man leapfrogging from cover that people tend to do would be about a billion times better

it's really not an A list game on the pc, especially compared with some of the games it's competing with, but sure, i'm looking forward to trying out coop on pc

I think it would be better with a controller, but honestly I think it can work. Rainbow 6 Vegas has alot of the same mechanics, and it works out very well on the KB&M.
