Was wondering because I am purchasing some new parts for a build and want the most bang for my buck. Thanks in advance!

Both, unless you're in a location that they charge tax. Newegg blows for me, 9.75% tax. TigerDirect isn't that great since 15% Bing cashback ended, but they're still decent.

If neither charge tax for you, and items have free shipping, then order individual parts from whoever has them cheapest. Whenever I do a large upgrade or new build, I usually use 4-5 online stores.

Aside from Newegg and Tiger Direct, what other online stores do you visit?

On topic, the 'Egg has been very good to me.

I go to zipzoomfly, tigerdirect, newegg, and frys.com. Newegg though is just beastly. Periodically I catch a few items on tigerdirect on good sales but newegg is just constant awesome. Oh... don't forget Woot.com.. never know what good things come your way on their daily deals.

Ebay and Amazon are the other big two I order from, though ebay rarely now since bing ended. I've ordered various items from many other smaller stores found through google shopping search or slickdeals.net. I just look around for the best price and make sure the seller ratings are good. Newegg seldom has prices that are the best for me, and other sites don't have as expansive a selection, so I have to go shopping.

I honestly feel like both balance out each other. I prefer Tigerdirect though because NewEgg charges me stupid sales tax since they have a warehouse in my state (NJ) and that adds a lot if I'm making a large purchase like a video card or something. I suggest you always compare the two though if you're looking for something in particular.

Both, sometimes one has better deals than the other. Newegg seems to have a better selection all around, except when it comes to monitors, Tiger Direct has a much much better selection.

Full of rip offs? Just got a Phenom IIx4 deneb 955 for 130 2 weeks ago (1 day deal), a GGTX 460 768mb evga super clock, for 150, rosewill case for 20 dollars 2 months ago, and more deals I can even think off. No way does it seem like a rip off to me. Also, love all the free shipping and things getting to my house in 2 days.

if you bother to look at their site for once youd see it is full of shoddy manufacturers listing their products for "sale" (really just trying to get rid of a poor selling piece of crap)

They sell everything form just about all manufactures. Sorry to bust your bubble but every website and all stores do the same thing with "sales" on crappy stuff. Thats comes with the territory for having lower name manufactures equipment for sale. Its not my fault that anyone buying that hardware is not doing appropriate research before making a buy. I only get name brand hardware and the deals on newegg have been amazing.

Ad to that neweggs AMAZING RMA process, and pretty much any argument on "shoddy" products gets dismissed.

look how hard you try to not respond by admitting its full of shoddy manufacturers listed

it used to be good, but now its crap

now look at Tiger direct's listing of cpus

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Category/category_cpu.asp

actually shows you the prices, not full of "hidden prices" schemes of saving you 50 cents under the suggested retail price

Yes please look at your link lol. Notice the hidden "asterisk" (after rebates statement). MAN, why would you use that as proof of anything. All I saw on that link was.. "Missing alot of AMD processors" and "hidden" stuff just like websites do.

I would also like to add... many of the links to those processors have ones that are "unavaliable" on tigerdirect. More "hidden" stuff? C'mon Man. Why would you even argue against with processors where you only have AMD and intel manufactures which are both not shoddy?

Stop feeding the troll.

Besides, they are both good sites, Newegg is just easier to work with aesthetically.

I've never received a rebate back each time I bought something that has a rebate off of Newegg. I know it's not Newegg's fault but wtf?

I always use newegg strictly for their customer service. I've RMA'ed a handful of HDDs and all have gone without a hitch and newegg was very good about it. I've never dealt with Tiger Direct's customer service but I doubt it is as good. (Also Newegg combo deals are always good to save about $20 or so on large orders, such as complete computer builds).
