XPS series are ment for gaming. I myself have a Dell Latitude D820 max out (proud of that).

The main function I wanted was being able to run applications for school, but it does the job of running games aswel.

Still a good desktop is most enjoyable!

I recently got a toshiba Satellite P105, and It does an awesome job at running current games with high settings and a stable framerate

My dad bought it for me because he figured I could use it for school... Well, it turned out that school was the last thing that I would use it for:D

I play games on my XPS m1710 and they run amazing. it can play call of juarez at max. The only thing is it's no very portable. The m1210 is ok for gaming. You should be able to play games like hl2 at high/max and games like oblivion/fear at low /medium.
