Buggy. Very buggy. Make sure before playing to patch it and once you have done patching in with the official patches dont forget the community patches I think there is a complete pack of them at gameupdates.org its about 900mb.

I've got Gothic 3, and it's not bad at all. I wrote a review on it.

As long as you don't have Forsaken Gods, download & install Community Patch 1.7. It makes Gothic 3 a lot better, adding extras such as Alternate AI and Alternative Balancing.

I know another member that knows a lot more about the series, I'll mention your topic to him.

Gothic 3 is the worst gothic experience imo.

Gothic 2 + Expansion was excellent, I was very glad I put the time in to get past the initial learning curve. Gothic 3 didn't really catch my interest so I haven't put heaps of hours into it yet. I would definitely recommend 2 over 3 from what I've seen so far.

Even if it was, I like the fact that it doesn't crash at all on my PC.

it's not about the crashes....it;s about the atmosphere.....it's lost....it;s not a dark game anymore. I hate the colors the animation the voice acting...

I picked up Gothic 3 at Target for $9, and after the last community patch its finally worth that $9. It may not be great, but its not that bad either.

I loved Gothic2, but Gothic3 was somewhat of a dissapointment, it's not a bad game tho, I still liked it better than Oblivion. But even without the technical issues it has numerous other flaws like for e.g. the rather clunky melee combat system.
