Who's getting Civ V?

Who is gonna pick this up on day one? I'm not, but I know I'll get it eventually.

I probably won't be getting it day one, but I'm interested in it.

I always suck at strategy games though... I never got around to picking up Civ: Rev and never played another Civilizations game though.

I'll definitely get it, but I'll probably wait a while for the price to drop.

Try to be familiar with turn-based strategy games before then. I've found it hard to get around with Civ IV for the first time.

I will get it, but the way I am hooked to Elemental, Starcraft2 and Halo Reach I dont know how much I will play it for the first few months :P

My wife used to be a hardcore strategy gamer, and then our wee girl arrived to spoil all her fun... ;)

As it happens we are due our second daughter in 4 weeks, so it gives her something to do whilst she is on bed rest.

I'll wait until at least 24 hours after release... I don't wanna get Elementalled. :shock:

Actually I guess I could just play the demo on release day and make sure everything runs smoothly.

My wife used to be a hardcore strategy gamer, and then our wee girl arrived to spoil all her fun... ;)

As it happens we are due our second daughter in 4 weeks, so it gives her something to do whilst she is on bed rest.

Is Civ V a steam exclusve? I know you can buy it in the shops but if its just going t give you a STEAM code I had better just go straight to steam.

I'm interested in it but i've never played a CiV game, although i know they require a lot of time to get into, which is something i don't have right now. maybe over winter break.

Either the day it comes to Mac, or the day I bootcamp. :P

Yeah day 1 for me, ever since I saw they actually made the battles interesting.

i would buy it day one if i had a computer that could run it, sadly i have laptop from 4 years ago that i use, so you can imagine how bad it is. However whenever i can find a job i'll be purchasing the pieces to build a nice desktop and i will certainly get it.

Until then i'll be heading to my friends house so we can play some hotseat

Picked it up on D2D when they had the coupons going on. $10 off and a free DLC was just to good to pass off. MadCat46

Yeah, this is the better deal. Free DLC (when it releases) is better than a map pack.

I'd already purchased Digital Deluxe on Steam when I found out about it. Don't care enough to get a refund and rebuy it though.

Im considering it. Not sure though. We shall see.
