I was just checking it on steam... you can't purchase the single episode, just the whole thing (that you'll be receiving on a monthly basis)... dunno... I loved the first 2... the 3rd was just ok but you got a heavy feeling of dejà vu... the 4th was awful... and I doubt tales of monkey island will bring the frnchise back to its former glory

Just bought it a few hours ago. I've played the first three games, haven't played the fourth. Monkey Island is one of those childhood games for me, the first point'n'click adventure (with Loom and Indiana Jones and the last crusade). I'm about half way through and having a really good time. Known characters from the previous games reappear, but that's not really a problem if you don't know them. Buy it!
And support Telltale, they are one of the only developers providing us with (good, at least most of the times) adventure games!

Played it a bit just then... brought back so many great memories...I feel like a kid again :) True about the graphics...but they still look good enough.... it's the story that counts
Yep, buying it. Looking forward to the DVD set that Telltale invariable do at the end as well. Grandpa here likes something tangible with his purchases.

If the first chapter is any indication, I think Tales of Monkey Island will be as good as the third game, if not better.

I tried the demo and it doesn't look bad.... i'm thinking of getting it, one question for those you got it... is the game also in Italian? I don't mind playing it in English, but my younger bro would love to play it and can't speak English...
The fact that the game is in 3D really bothers me... I would have preferred it in 2D style not unlike pencil drawings.Adversary16
It's NOT 3D.... it's 3D graphics but the control scheme and point and click still work in 2D plane..... you can't move the camera around, it's fixed....

i thought that (and still do prefer the 2d curse of monkey island style graphics if im honest) but it does work very well in the new game and seems much more natural than the clumsy and awkward monkey island 4
