Im still waiting for bc2 to come in the post :(. Btw, i know this is random/off topic, do you guys have hbao enabled? I heard turning it off gives a pretty big fps boost, and at my res (1080p) i want it to run smoothly

You should look into upgrading that poor thing. Your GTX 460 is bottlenecked.

Maybe becuase these guys aren't wearing any body armor?

Oh yeah, I actually haven't thought of that.

I actually feel that in the PC version of BC2 it takes more shots to kill somebody than the console version. I played the console version to death, then bought it on the PC when it got cheap and I realized that the PC version seems to take a few more shots to bring somebody down.

So all of you who are playing, what are your EA names so we can all get together?

Some of the maps have some really bad bottlenecks, but the worst problem is the damn helos. They are stupidly overpowered...

I really like some of the maps, only one of them I hated out of the bunch, it was far to small and easyier on one side. Other hten that I love how beautiful some of these maps are, just gorgeous. Some balancing will be done im sure in the future for some of the things that are a bit overpowered. Thats really my only gripe so far, pretty fun.. even when I am getting my butt handed to me :P

For 14$ cant really go wrong, plus Vietnam setting is always nice :D

Not perfect, but other then one of the maps being poor and a few balancing issues, its great.

Is it me or does the hit detection seem better. If the maps were better balanced (conquest) it would be perfect, but they have some HUGE bottlenecks. Vantage point is pretty bad, but I guess the name fits it :P. The Hill137 map has some iffy design choices as well. The other two are pretty good. I can't wait for Operation Hastings though. millerlight89

I've noticed that Helo's are really overpowered right now in the vanilla game. When the pilot pops flares any tracer darts on the helo disappear.

I'll work my butt off and finally get a tracer dart on a heli and then they simply pop flares and continue to destroy everyone. I was playing Valspiasaro (bad spelling I know, the original Jungle rush map) as defense, the attacking team got into their heli, went behind the first two Mcoms and just hovered about 30 meters over ocean blasting everyone. I couldn't hit it with an RPG so i tried using the tracer dart, but every time I got it attached the pilot would pop flares and continue to destroy our team. We didn't manage to bring it down until the third set of Mcoms.

Good to hear the Vietnam is a good add on, i'll check it out when I get a chance.

I know. It's horrible. I'm hoping to get a mostly new computer(I'll keep my GPU and PSU) early next year.

This, Nam kicks ass and yes that one map is a little unbalanced.

Englebert3rd, add me. As for the maps, they are really bottlenecked. Far too narrow, and pretty unbalanced. It's shocking. I usually end up with quite poor K/D and just a few points. I always attack, but somehow someone manages to kill me when I shot first and hit the guy a buncha times. So annoying.
Apart from all these issues, I do play it. I prefer the Conquest rather than Rush, you get much more freedom.

The thing about the maps is that this is Vietnam... alot of the battles were in close quarters,etc....

Sure most the time i like big maps, but for this it fits the time period perfectly imo.

Only one map I dont like so far. At first I thought these maps are way to small and to many choke points but the more I played the more I enjoyed em

You know a game is good when you go 2-20 and still have fun.. not to mention getting 2nd out of 32 people and only having two kills :P

this. omg it's so awful...

the only two effective ways of taking down helos are now gone in Vietnam (Tracer+launcher or AT4).

Rush maps are ok, but way too bottlenecked in some places. Still worth the price tag imo.
