The embargo was lifted on the 25th, why is there still only 2 or 3 review? :\

All the reviewers who play spore are so hooked on the game that they haven't had time to write the review. They sware to the editors that once they Finish* spore then they will write a compelete review
*In this case "Finish" is having all 4 million worlds under their control.
Theres still another week until it comes out :/ferret837

It's not out anywhere. If it was out in australia, it would have leaked onto torrents.

I'm going out on a limb here, but I get the feeling that it's a bug on the game.com.au site, I've seen such things happen before. If it was true there would be stories about it all over the internet like there was for halo 3 which was released early by one chain of stores.
Also Notice how the spec sheet still has "to be confirmed" on it. Order it now and I bet it won't be delivered until the 4th at the earliest.

I don't think the torrent scene will be very big on Spore. It's the first of its kind (MMO-single player game) and am pretty positive it requires an internet connection to even play (at least the creature creator did). Even if there is an offline mode of some sort with automatically generated creatures/buildings ect.... I think that would defeat the purpose of purpose the biggest feature in the game. This game is all about user-generated content and the community that goes along with it. I'm guessing Spore won't get pirated nearly as much as most mainstream games, instead if will probably be about the same as other MMOs. I suppose there will be "private servers" with no restrictions the game and no rules, which no doubt will result in penis monsters everywhere you go.... Doesn't sound like much fun to me.

If it exists someone will upload the ISO. You can download the .png files from the sporepedia website and import them manually so you would not be locked into automatically generated content.
And on the release in Australia issue, yes it is officially on shelves here, I just called my local EB and they said as soon as they recieve their shipment (which they expect today) it will be on their shelves.
No use being jealous though, this is the first time I can remember a major video game, or anything at all from the entertainment industry for that matter, coming out in Aus first.
