I've never played the Battlefield games. What do you mean by spamming grenades? Like people using cheats to get a buttload of grenades or something?

Certain kits have ammo packs which give unlimited amount of nades. Also nades are 1hit, but I'm not complaing because I quite playing that series about 3months ago.

BF1942...lie down behind a ammo box and toss nades over the hill into the never ending spawn of players, capture control point. :| Until someone got wise and sniped their ass from another control point. Grenades play a part in any game but people will find and will use cheap exploits to there advantage. That goes for any weapon or abusing poor map design for that matter as well.
That depends on what map...in BF2142 on a Titan game a player can sit in one of the hallways of the titan and toss nade after nade down. And in Bf2 i dont have a problem with nades, just nade launchers....and the people who onlyusethe nade launcher on their gunwhile bunny hopping around.

o ya i remember that know.......that was really annoying but i didnt really mind i jsut went and capped territories the whole time:)
Grenades are admittedly very annoying in BF2 (and other games) but they are part of the game... some people just need to get over it and stop whining :)
in reallity, grenades are more powerful than those in BF2. If not anything else, it's because they explode more and are faaaaaaaaar more more noisy than those in BF2 which sound something like a fart when exploded .
its not really hard getting rid of nade spammers. In battlefield 2142 you just have to time it, thwy have little pauses so you can slip aa grenade in there, also you might need a good squad to hekp overpower them. I've gotten through quite a few blockades, just hit the sprint button and start firing while they try and go for their guns. although you'll probaably take vimy ridge style casualties.
the only problem i have with grenades/launchers are in the game ghost recon. else all is fair in love n war.
the reason i have a prob b.c if the GAME was like real life, the world would be huge. but its not. so grenades kinda make the game boring. and give nubs a chance
In BF2142, grenades kinda suck when used in conjunction with ammo hubs, and the people just sit there doing nothing but throw grenades into an empty space for 5 minutes on the off chance someone will walk into it. That's just dumb... Valve even had a note about that in the TF2 commentary track on why they got rid of grenades. In RtCW and Enemy Territory, grenades were godly. I loved them in that game, unlike the noob tube.
