Cause Vista is still very immature and does not have good driver support. Early adopters are the beta guineapigs.

Yeah, it's the current equivalent of Windows 2000. I'm probably going to wait for Vienna, just like I waited for XP.

The drivers are not Vista's falt. Wish people would stop blaming Microsoft -they dont make OTHER COMPANYS drivers... Blame the NVIDIA or ATI -by the way, go to their website to download the new drivers for vista...

I wouldnt want to have unofficial drivers. That might make things worse.

If you for an NVIDIA GPU, go to their site and download the new drivers that came out like a week ago... They should fix a lot of the stuff if not all of it.

nVidia will be releasing new drivers that fixes a whole slew of issues very shortly. The problem is right now that nVidia has had problems with Aero.

not for 7900xx series, however a email sent out on Feb 28th informs users that a new driver will be released shortly that addresses a lot of issues for older versions of nVidias cards, including the 7900xx series.

They don't even have the latest drivers linked for nVidia Dirk. Besides its alot easier if you just have Vista automatically update your drivers for you.

true the drivers are not microsofts fault but both them and the Nvidia/Ati are working together to get drivers out.

It mainly lists drivers you can't find easily on the manufacturers websites. Nvidia is easy, especially now with their nice DX10 driver, now onward to stable Vista drivers! :)
