Why do People think Runescape is horrible?

From what ive seen, most people who make fun of Runescape have only played it for like a month and then quit, i thought it was pretty boring and stupid at first but once i became a member and started trying out new skills and quest, i became addicted (not in the bad way) and love it now. So what do you think of Runescape? Do you thnk its fun, stupid, or just mediocre?

All MMORPG's are horrible. But from what i have read it's because of the grinding...it doesn't try and hide the grinding aspect as well as other mmorpg's so people are put off quickly. Unlike other mmorpg's that steal a good chunk of your money before you realise this. I really don't pay much attention to mmorpg's though so im probably wrong.

-Repetitive Gameplay

-From what I played of it (Good solid couple months with friends) the game seemed to lack depth

-Poor Graphics, thats a given

-Not worth my money monthly

poor game overall. i cant think of a single thing good about runescape at all

Besides the fact that I have hated every MMORPG I've tried, the game is bland and uninteresting. Plus the community, it's a bunch of 10 year olds. The worst part is the ones who tried to be funny, I can't remember any since I played it a while ago, but the jokes they told were amazingly horrible.

Its just a horrible game in my honest opinion. Am I a hater? No, I downloaded the game and have given it a try 3 times, each time I hated it more.

Terrible community maybe the worst ever, horrid graphics, bad gameplay and just not fun at all.

The community is horrible and many questlines are left unfinished.

It was utter crap. thats why.

Mostly because it's pretty crappy. Why play Runescape when you can play WoW or Aion? And as far as being free goes, I'd much rather play WoW on a private server then play Runescape.

This game is fun and all, even though the graphics are bad the game is still good. you can mine and smelt and make weapons, help people on quests and do them, go to events like the Christmas event and you don't get bored of it. If you hate the Graphics then turn the graphics to the fullest and if it is still bad then i dont know why you guys play it. Ive been playing this game for 2 or so years and i am still not bored of this game.

-No free trade or old wildy

-bad updates that aren't planned out well

-outdated graphics (some stuff are good but most of members is unfinished)

I've played since 05 so I've seen a lot that's been going on.

I played runescape when I was a kid. I tried to go back because it was actually pretty interesting, but the newer updates KILLED the game for me. It feels like an MMO for children now if you ask me. Their is no sense of danger or risk to the game it seems.
