Maybe XP isn't that much of 64-bit compatible than Vista 64-bit.

Since XP is older and back then 32-bit was much more common.

Because XP 64 totally fails. I used it for six months and it was the worst OS experience in my life - slow to boot, odd glitches and quirks, poor performance and compatibility was never even there to begin with. Vista 64 is far, far better

I agree with machine_B. XP-64 seemed like it'd be a great upgrade from 32-bit when I installed a 64-bit processor, but it wasn't. Though I didn't have TOO many problems with it (aside from a few compatibility issues), it was noticeably slower; and once I made the switch to Vista-64 I noticed a VAST improvement, not only in startup and applications, but in gaming as well.

I have xp x64 and actually my games run faster than in xp x86. Plus mine boots near instantly. You guys just have to take care of your computers and your performance will be there.

Support for the drivers is MINIMAL at best. I have heard almost all negative opinions on it.
