Why does Resident Evil 4 look so crappy?? There is no settings ??

Because all console ports look like crap on PC. And yeah that patch will make the game look slighlty better but it will still look like crap. I don't know why but all ps2 ports look really gray and pixelated on the PC. I tried to play RE4 on the PC. I got to that part where a giant boulder comes after you and the game says push 4. Well I pushe Shift, Ctrl and then even 4 but it didn't work so I had to exit the game to look at the controls. Of course that didn't help a bit so I just had to try all keys untill I've found it out. Thensome similar shiaight happened and I just got angry and deleted the game...People at UbiSoft are just stupid. I mean come on how hard it is to just say press Ctrl or Shift or whatever is it really that har to program a console game to do that?ParadoxOne11

Thats not true. Some console ports turned out to be fantastic.. Chronicles of Riddick as a example.

thats pissing isnt it.. I uninstalled it right after i started the game, because of the graphics... then took courage... installed it again and when i finally started to enjoy it... press 4 + 6... but its like that with all capcom ports...

bio hazard is what RE is called in japan. i didnt know they released the PC version in japan but maybe theres a japanese site that has the patch. u might also have luck with somewhere like fileshack...they might have it.

i applied the patch and it makes the game look a ton better. there are now lighting and fog effects. better textures.

i tested it at 1024x768 on x2 4400+, 2 gigs ram, Geforce 7600GT, using an xbox360 wireless controller! (excellent controller)

down side: crappy low res video cutscenes. some glitches in real time cut scenes in which characters vanish! for anyone that hasn't played it or want it for PC then for $20 it is a good buy. I still prefer the GC version!!
