Why doesn't gamespot rate Diablo 3??!!!

This post is so dumb it makes my eyes bleed. Have you done any research on diablo 3?

The servers were not open to ANYONE prior to the release on May 15, so reviewers could not post a review. They are currently playing through the entire game and exploring all it has to offer before posting an official score. This may take about a week, so expect the review around 5/22 or so.

Hahaha. Wow. Just wow. One, it hasn't been a week. It's been 5 days. Two, it has a player score on metacritic because hundreds of idiots went and posted 1/10 reviews 5 minutes after launch because they mad about lag and disconnects. Three, reviewers aren't necessarily supposed to be "pro gamers", and even if they were, you couldn't write an objective review after rushing through the game skippning sidequests and lore, and then didn't bother with the higher difficulties. Gamespot is taking a little longer than usual to review this game because they actually have at least some shred of integrity and professionalism in their work.

Don't even bother waiting for the review here. Ignoring the fact that Gamespot has a history of padding scores and sacking people who don't follow the practice, the reviews usually just boil down to a summary of the pros and cons of a game. There is no reason why things are good and bad, no real comparisons to other games in the genre, not enough time is spent to research and understand the game and the use of a scoring system.

I tend to like the reviews/impression at RPS but mostly because they don't give scores in their reviews. They did not have nice things to say about Diabo 3:

They're probably playing it over on all the difficulty levels, including hardcore mode. That's the only way they will be able to give a fair review. Elann2008

Gamespot's editors have a policy to finish the game, both single and either co-op or multi (whichever a game may have).

They also have to wait for the game to be submitted to them for review, and that's contingent upon when the publisher sends it.

Lots of over-generalizing here. You need to start looking at the entire database instead of select games. Was Amalur "padded"? How about that Revelations game that got a 1.5?

I love Diablo 3, but damn, they hit the nail on the head.

The game could have been a game-changer, but it feels like Diablo 2 with better graphics and painful DRM.
