why hasn't halo 3 and reach came on pc?

Halo 1 and 2 came on pc a couple years after xbox launch. Yet 3 and reach never appeared. Why has microsoft not releaisng halo anymore on pc? is there hope in the future?

Well yeah Microsoft wanted to keep some exclusives on their console. They want people to buy Xboxes. Besides Halo 3 is way too old for a port now. And there is probably no chance of a Reach port ever.

cause they knew that they would loose their XBL cashcow if halo really took off on pc cause they couldnt charge a pittence for content monthly XD

I had a great time playing Halo 1 & 2 on PC. It's a pity that they didn't port the third one onto PC.

Microsoft does this to make Xbox 360 owners feel they're "special" and obviously to sell xbox 360 systems.

I own an xbox 360 and don't own either Halo game, if it was on PC with keyboard and mouse I would buy it,

The only reason as to why Halo works on consoles is due to the pathetic quality of first-person shooters on consoles. It's no Timesplitters, but its popularity on consoels is understandable. With arena, UT, CS, and a plethora of exceptional SP first-person shooters, what use is there to port Halo to the PC?

Killer apps generally don't make it to PC. Don't expect God of War, Infamous, Uncharted, Starhawk, Yakuza, Metal Gear, Resistance, Little Big Planet, Killzone, etc. to show up on PC anytime soon.Zubinen

I don't see why people would want Halo 3 and Reach on pc anyway, they were bad enough on xbox.

the only good halo games are halo1 and reach, the rest I could be careless, would be nice to have them on PC, and halo 4 looks pretty sharp according to the new graphic presentation

Because microsoft hates us. I mean, even if they did release Halo 3 or Reach for windows, they would probably make it for windows 8 and you would have to have a windows live account or something. They like doing that, a lot.

I really do wish they came to PC, it may just have been me but Halo felt like a perfect mouse+keyboard title.

Neither did mine - my xbox just sits in my closet. Not trying to derail the topic, but when the console exclusives don't entice me to unpack my Xbox, then I don't. It's not that I just "hate" consoles now. It's just that they have stopped offering anything for me and I realized it was much longer ago than I realized.

OT: I doubt Halo will be coming to PC again.
