Why I like dual bios

I was upgrading my bios on my UDP 3 board when all of a sudden the power went out. After the power came back on it rebooted just fine using the older bios.

to have your power go out at the exact moment you are upgrading your bios......is very bad luck

All new motherboards have a safe mode type system. Asus lets you boot from a bios file on a flash drive if you have some... trouble. I remember not to long ago flashing was very dangerous.
