that wasn't the point... the point was that in other websites it shows as ~700mb , where in steam is 3500mb. Anyway i think steam downloaded the entire hl2 game which i didn;t want.... and yes i only have 200 gb hard drive :)That's a rather....stupid question, but I'll try to answer it anyway.
It's big because....it's not small?
And if you think that's big I can't imagine you playing any of the newer games.A new HDD would come in handy.

makes sense to me, if a game is scalable its going to have multiple texture packs and such. Im also guessing the hl2 is fairly long, never bothered with the demo and went straight to the game myself though.
it downloads the enitire game, that way if you want to buy the full version you dont have to download the entire file again
BIg is downloading GTA4:EFLC via Stream.[QUOTE="charrr1234"][QUOTE="enriK233"]

Sacred 2 anyone? xD
Nope GTA 4 + EFLC is over 30 GB seeing as you need both installed if you want to play gta 4 and EFLC.They're still two separate games, GTA IV and EFLC and you don't need one to play the other, because you used the standalone version as an example if not you need GTA IV which is around 14 gigs + TLAD 4 gigs OR TBOGT 3 gigs or maybe both, far from 30 gigs with the option that needs GTA IV installed to play the DLCs. If you like to count games + expansions/DLCs then Sacred 2 with HD textures + expansion takes up around 22.5 gigs.
