I have a nvidia 6800gt and for some reason since i bought it, the gpu is so damn HOT! Why is this? I have a 400w psu so it aint that. Oh and just to let you know how hot it is try 80-100 degrees when playing games and 70 when idle. Just so you know i have not overclocked it either. Please help somebody!

Small case hot room? I presume with a 6800gt your not playing too taxing games, although if the temperature is significantly affecting performance, all i do is take of the PC's side panel and open a window. It'll cool the GPU down by a few degrees.

Maybe the Fan didn't work... try open the case, turn your computer on and check your 6800gt Fan...

Try cleaning out the fan/heatsink with compressed air.
