I've been playing through the campaign offline. It's a definitely a fun game IMO :D
Pure "popcorn" shooter that doesn't require much thought, it's about as linear as linear can be, completely led by the hand through the maps, can't even walk off edges.
I've said before, this ain't no Crysis by any stretch of the imagination, but to me it's still fun for what it is.
I might play some co-op online (definitely over my LAN), but I don't think is the type of game I'd be much interested in competitive multiplayer -- I'll be looking at the other big hitters for that.

That's precisely the reason I won't be getting the game any time soon. I hate games where you can switch off your brain.

On occasion, I don't mind. Especially when time only allows you to play in very short bursts at a time - need to be able to jump in/jump out easily.
CAUSE EPIC SCREWED IT UP!
1. No dedicated server
2. No chat button
3. don't show pings
4. Horrible server browser
5. alot of people are having problems running the game or with windows live
AND NO PATCH FROM EPIC YET!
Really bad release date. Who wants to buy a port of 360 third person shooter when PC exclusive Crysis comes out at the same time?

Gears of war have actually been selling very well. Newegg.com sold out Gears of war two days after its release, same with Best Buy. The people who are buying Gears of War are the ones who dont have a x360 and been waiting for it to come out on to PC. Those people seem to be only interested in playing the single player storyline then online.
