Anyone know why? I find that very depressing.

Because the publisher is also the creator of Impulse. So it is exclusive to that. Same reason there are no Blizzard games on steam. They want to go with their own DD service.Agent_Kaliaver
That's rather unfortunate. I'd think it'd be better to make some money via selling it through steam, rather than miss out on all the people that would have bought it if it were...

There will always be benefits and costs to choosing to stay exclusive or not. I guess they figure making money off one game isn't worth the pull the game has to their website (since they undoubtedly make money off every game sale there, not just their own games) even if that pull isn't incredibly strong. If you're interested in the game, just go try Impulse. Their client is okay and there's also a bunch of games not available on Steam. They also have different sales. Nothing wrong with some diversity.
Steam is just becoming so popular I sometimes pity their competitors, as quality services like gog and Impulse are being overlooked.
You know, the fact that you even want it to be on Steam keenly illustrates exactly why it isn't on Steam, if you really think about it. :P

Actually, all it illustrates is that I would like to use a single game browser, rather than downloading and running one for every company that has an inkling to distribute their own games independently. That's their right of course, but if they don't use the browser that's popular, that's also their loss.

That's exactly what i was talking about. They have their own game "browser", as you put it, and I'm sure they would quite like for people to use it.[QUOTE="StopThePresses"]

You can dump Impulse as soon as you finish downloading and installing the game. Unlike Steam it doesn't require it's service to be installed to run, you only need impulse for patching with is few and far between these days.Yes, because less competition has always resulted in better results for consumers. Of course! :P I love spending +$100 on my MS word! :P[QUOTE="MrLions"]I didnt even realize impulse existed! aww man....Seriously...D2D and Steam should be the only ones to exist :PLongZhiZi
