Some dx 9 games won't run on vista or won't run on vista right.

The problem is that driver support (graphics) is fairly poor for Vista at the moment. That causes the poor performance in games, although performance will increase with new driver releases. Additionally, Vista has a problem with OpenGL, and OpenGL support is poor.

nVidia just released new Beta drivers for Vista and it fixed alot of issues, such as slow games!!! And screen corruption from sleep.

EDIT: I just wanted to add the beta drivers fixed those issues for me, if you have a different gpu it may or not fix any issues.
