Why isn't there a PC game reccomendation thread?

I usually stick to console gaming but Im upgrading my PC and I wanna try some games. Now look, I haven't played any PC games for quite a while. The last two Ive played were WoW and Warcraft III. What PC only games (not available on consoles) are must play in the last decade?

Thanks, that seems like a pretty good list. I forgot about Sims 3. I guess that would be the last PC game I played. I really like RPGs with good stories

Because there's too many games to fit in one thread. Each threat can only contain a certain amount of awesome, which would overload here.

IIRC Bluebird or somebody else tried to make such a thread and it didn't go that well. There are just way too many games and people would have a hard time checking them all so that's why it would be easier to recommend some games based on the things that you like.
