Went into EB today to pick up Red Dead Redemption because I had watched a (ON MY PC) Youtube video on it about its awesum multiplayer capabilities(PC DID IT FIRST) and was SHOCKED to discover the game (WHICH LOOKS PC - SHOOTERS WITH ANYTHING BUT MOUSE SUCK) isnt on pc and the guy behind the counter said there wasn't any news of it being on PC WHAT THE HELL /endrant

lol i really dont understand the point of this. you must have just heard about the game to not know its console only. I mean was your disbelief so bad you had to create a gamespot account to tell everyone here what we already know?
Calm down! I think it would be coming half a year later....like most of the GTA series had.

Just like Red Dead Revolver came... oh wait. It never did. Relevant because?...oh wait it isn't. I'm not interested in the game at all but lame arguments like "OMG the first game wasn't release so it's impossible" are redundant.
I would like to reinforce daniel's post by also noting the miracle that is Fable 3. Although the first Fable was on PC the second was not, but as we all know the third is coming to PC.
I ahve read that it uses the same engine they used for GTAIV and if that is true I will run the other way if this game comes to pc and then poke it with a very long stick before I install it. GTAIV had some of the worst optimization for pc I've seen, ugly shadows and ok graphics in general so unless they really fix their code this wont come near my pc. Also even on Xbox I think GTA didnt look that great and wasnt as smooth as I'd like.
But my guess on why this isnt on the PC is bacause they are having problems with perormance.

While you guys are right, rockstar san diego are not into pc gaming. So i cant be sure it will come out.
Might or might not happen one thing is certain R* barely managed to make it alive and it was all thanks to GTA IV, they found out the hard way that they will not be able to keep their company if they don't expand their games offer and their platform coverage.
They need to make more games and they need to release them everywhere they might make money and they're doing just that (the more games part at least, we'll see IF the multiple platform part will happen too, sooner or later). If not, good luck to them and hopefully they'll make a lot of money and still remain in the game, I don't want one of the best series in the world to go down, I still want my GTA V :P.

Never even played the game. how the hell do we get 30 threads about the same thing here on the pc forum. Its a console game, microsoft and sony have invested alot in rockstar so theyll get it first. its not the end of the world, consoles can get a good game that doesnt come to pc and the world will still turn. I know there are advertisements everywhere and this game has been marketed like a blockbuster movie but try not to get all worked up about it.

I never mentioned fable :shock:i was just messing with you... wanted to say it:D BUT!! it proves a point.. just like red dead revolver... fable 2 wasnt on pc.. next thing you know fable 3 is announced for pc.. that proves that you never know..even if the previous game in the franchise didnt come to pc.. that doesnt mean that the next one wont..

weve been over this over and over. Its not on pc, because not every game always is. If the ps3 and xbox 360 weren't virtually the same platform it would only be on one or the other.

I played it myself and its awesome. Its currently ranked number 11 on the all time gamerankings list and rightfully so. Number 11 of all time is quite overated, its still pretty good and the framerate is playable most of the time on ps3.
*minor spoiler, highlight to see*An example of severe framerate issues, I came into a town after finishing a mission, some gang of guys were shooting at the townfolk... the framerate dipped down below 20 fps until they left. Its playable, but Im not sure if I should continue. If it doesnt come to pc, well this is as good as it will get, if it comes to pc il be kicking myself for not waiting.
