why wont team fortress 2 find any servers

Well, no wonder the game is free!

Anyway....it says its refreshing the server list, but then nothing happens. I dont have any tags or anything.

Ive checked my firewall settings and the game is allowed access. Also, bad company 2 and left 4 dead work fine.

something is wrong with the system, its being swarmed with players right now, and I dont think the servers can handle it. It will be fine shortly.

This is probably due to the huge influx of players after it has been made free, just wait it out a while and everything should be stable.

I haven't had the issue myself, but many friends have. There are two things that have worked for them:

Change your region (in the find server menu) to your region. Wait 30-60seconds and it should find a server.

If the previous suggestion does not work, leave the find server menu and enter another screen (such as inventory or crafting), and then go back to find server and give it a minute.

Had the same exact problem two days ago. All the servers were gone except for a few on my favorite list. It fixed itself yesterday for me, so it should return to normal momentarily.

ive just tried to search for some servers just now, its still not working. I was able to play bad company 2 last night without any issues, so I dont know what the problem is. I might just uninstall Chris_53

i have just performed a search now and its found some servers, gonna try and join now. Maybe I will amuse u all with my terrible kill:death ratioChris_53

Yeah I had this problem. Restarted Steam and it solved itself.
