The only thing Minecraft is good for is creating works of art. There are many examples of worlds that are quite beautifully done. Otherwise, as an actual game, it's quite terrible. If it was the intention for Mojang to create a 3D canvas, they should have left out the nonchalant attempts to add basic game mechanics and focused on the artistic side of it.
yep, after playing survival about 10 times It gets really formulaic. Chop down tree, make wood pickaxe, get cobble, make wood house, etc.. Theres very little variety. However that simplicity is also why I got it and got back into gaming. Its a good example of a game that you can spen a minute in to check your crops, or hours rangling up a wolf pack :PThe only thing Minecraft is good for is creating works of art. so heres why i bought it . i was going to my friends one day and he told me about it. i didnt think it sounded cool but i was totaly wrong. it was an awesome game that is made up or blocks but its not how you think. its not even a 8-bit game looking thing. its got a bunch of monsters that are easy to kill and its based on a real life game. but its not a city type game its more like a sandbox and exploring kind of thingslimeycreeperPeople also spend a lot of time creating massive structures or new game modes for it. It can really bring out the creative side in gamers.
