I prefer widescreen, i like it as a rectangle rather than more squarish.

I just upgraded from a 17" normal screen to a 19" widescreen and I'm having some trouble getting used to it. Did you guys have that same problem?

I did the same thing, went from a 17" to a 19" widescreen about 2 years ago. I don't think I will EVER go back to a 4:3 monitor (especially never one of those 4:5 LCDs either).

A little at first...To be honest, I had a more difficult time getting used to lcd as opposed to the good old crt monitors. I love it now though. About the time that digital television renders all other television obsolute in the USA by law, I would like to purchase a hdtv and just run my computer through that...in a year from now.

Anyway yeah, it might take your eyes a couple of days to get used to the difference, but try adjusting the settings on the monitor. Some monitors come with custom settings for movie, gaming, internet, et cetera viewings.

I was running my computer to my 40" Samsung TV..but quickly got sick of being 4-6' away from the screen when playing PC games (Though, console ports were cool to play) RTS games just didn't feel the sameto me. so I descided to switch back to a comp. monitor.

Widescreen is the way to go. I've loved it eversince the first use. It won't be too long before that's all there is.

I love my widescreen. The only issue I have with it is some of the older games don't support it, and even some of the newer ones *cough* BF2142 *cough* and it looks stretched running it in a non 4:3 Resolution.

I was really worried about going to widescreen because all of them are LCD.  Mostly because the backlight causes the blacks to be... not so black and basically the colors aren't as good.  I went from a 17" 4:3 CRT to a 23" Widescreen LCD.  I instantly removed the memories of playing in 4:3.  To anyone worried about upgrading to Widescreen - JUST DO IT.  It's amazing!

Ya, before I tried widescreen I thought it didn't matter, but after trying it I don't think I could go back.
