Someone is claiming that running XP or Vista 32bit will cause a quad core to run slow. True or untrue?

They are full of crap. Really, the only benifit of a 64 bit os is being able to address more memory.

This is not true my mate has a quad core and vista 32 bit it runs fine.. as above post the only benefit 64 has over 32 is the memory physical detection etc.

but did you hear some game site reported they got a 20% increase in preformance IN USING A 64 BIT OS over a 32 bit.

I've never heard anyone say that before, anyway it's a load of **** my QX6850 runs amazing on 32bit XP Pro.
