They can run two 7970's if you wanted as well.

Corsair TX750 bronze certified. Would it be safe to use TX650 instead?

you didn't buy the psu yet or what ? since ur asking for a TX650 ?but Either one of those could run 2x 6 pin which is what 7870 seem to use 1x 6 pin each while the TX 750 as 4x 6+2pin (can be 8 pin)

Well as he said, the TX750 has more connectors for Crossfire. But since you are using 7850 (which apparently requires only 1x6 pin) TX650 is enough. However, if you at some point have to change your graphics card to one that may require 2x 6 pin each, this makes the TX750 more future proof, though you could always just buy molex to pci-e adapters for TX650.

while you can do that (the molex thing) it Really not recommended from what people keep saying at least if you trying to draw more then 25W of that molex

but a TX750W or some other model 750W Is indeed the option to go if you want in later future ie in 2014-2015 to change ur gpu pair for something stronger if they consume higher then 2x 6 pin (total) and you end up not having to change the psu because you bough a stronger one

but aside of that a TX650 is enough for even power up Two 7870 while ur poweruping up Two 7850 ... it up to you if you spend the extra for an 750W unit that provide the 4x 6+2 pin connector in case you where to get setup simlair to 2x GTX 680 / 7970 or w/e out there in future generation lol if the psu still functional good chance the psu last 5-7 Year : but i knew bunch of psu who didn't make more then 3 Year Without RMA

but if you trying to save money now and not likely to upgrade any soon then TX650 is plenty
