I have a 15" CRT that can display only 1024x768 and the 8800GTS 320MB is overkill at that resolution.

Whatever SupCom is -- this card will max out anything that has been released to the general public, especially at that resolution on that size monitor. Also, make sure you have all the latest drivers for the card and you should be fine. If that's not enough to play whatever your trying to play, you can always put that card in SLi mode by adding another 8800GTS (320MB).

Well then yes, it will MAX that game out perfectly on the resolution you would like to play at.
Wow man, if I were you I'd spring for a new monitor first...no sense getting the third best card on the market if you're only going to run at that rez. Staryoshi87If i was to get a 19" LCd then i'd have to get a 8800GTS 320MB.
Besides i heard that LCD's are better at their native resolution,if i was to play at a lower resolution, the picture would be crappy.

Sorry, thought you were talking about 8800's. In that case, wait for the 8300's and the 8400's and thought should be perfect for what you need, those will be about $95 for the 8300 and $115 for the 8400's.*ahem* the title say 8600 gts, not 8800.el_carl
I literally just re-read that and realized it...doh. So my answer is yep, it's good for it.
