RockStar milked console gamers goooood, I’m just curious to see if they can fill their buckets with PC gamers too because no matter how good a game is after two years waiting for its release, you sure lose your hype.

@demi0227_basic: I don't mean literally, I'm just saying this .. Is it possible that GTA V be a huge hit on PC or one of steam’s biggest top sellers?
Yeah, it's likely going to be a huge hit and a top seller on Steam. A lot of people waited for it and are looking forward to getting it.
Though, I lost interest after it took them forever to add features to the online and I absolutely hated the story, it was incredibly unsatisfying and Trevor was simply poorly written, like they were trying so hard to be edgy or something that it got boring.
It's been among the top 3 sellers on steam ever since it was made available for pre-order, and at #1 for much of that time. I highly doubt it'll end up selling under a million, most likely at least a few million like GTA4 apparently did.

It's going to be huge. I myself am double dipping...played it on 360 (only console game I've played in years) and am so exited. I got it for my wife too, so if a guy and gal come get you, it may have been us!
@Postosuchus: GTA IV sold few millions on PC ? I'm not sure if it's true but a great sale can make RockStar to take PC as a priority and stop treating PC gamers like shit .... who knows maybe after GTA they announce red dead redemption for PC

We can only wish about that.
@insane_metalist: some wishes come true , you'll never know ....
Yeah but that's not one of em.
An I the only person completely uninterested in the multiplayer aspect of the game?
i personally dont think online belongs in these types of games.
And i've lost interest in GTA V tbh. Took too long and they're trying to charge full price for a 2+year old game. They can go **** themselves tbh.
I may get it when it's sub £10. I've waited 2 years, whats another year?

There's so much loading. You have to load yourself into free roam, then you have to load to get into a lobby to play missions, then you have to load into the mission from the lobby, then you have to load from the completed mission back to the lobby, and then you have to load back into free roam (if there are no good missions to pick from). Basically for every multiplayer match you have to endure 5 different lengthy loading sections on the console (each one is like a whole minute to wait). The PC version might be better in this regard but I'd rather there be half as much loading screens, or only one when you load into the game.
@klunt_bumskrint: All I know is on the consoles everybody who plays is a tool. I mean they'll blow your cars up and kill you constantly. I tried playing back when heists launch but just could not stand the lack of team work people constantly failing objectives on purpose. IF you have buddies to play with it can be very fun just make sure you start up a private lobby.
Hopefully not... PC gamers with some dignity should either not buy it, or wait for a sale....
So, PC gamers have been crying for the game forever, and when it finally comes to PC, you don't want them to buy it? That is just retarded. If the game releases broken, don't buy it. If it doesn't have technical issues, you should buy it as it is a great game.

I'm a PC gamer and haven't been crying for this game at all.
I've been through this before. I would rather give my hard earned money to a developer that has PC gamers on the same level as console gamers, and take the effort to release the PC version together (or close to) the console counterparts.
Rockstar uses PC as their last resort (leftover scraps) once all console sales have been squeezed to the last drop. Don't take my word for it, they have done it twice in the past and now a third time with GTA5. (not to mention the last 2 PC ports were abysmal once they finally decided to release them).

you'd think R* killed his family

it has already been floating around the Steam top sellers list ever since the pre-order became available. often at the top of the list (like just now). so... end of discussion?
biggest sales spike has not even occurred yet. it will happen closer to release date.
I lost an exceptional about of respect and like for GTA 5 because of the money system. You used to be able to use money cheats and do whatever you want in GTA. Thats what it was about for me and they took that away. You already bought the game and now you have to spend money for fake money in a game. Its a joke right?
WTF is this world coming too. and people actually purchase gta money LMFAO
Plus if it runs like junk on pc then im waiting a few years to get it because I do not want to buy a new rig.
So screw you rockstar you stingy bastards

No, they just killed what little respect I had for them left...
It won't sell as much as it did on consoles because it's almost 2 years late port. I myself won't be getting it anytime soon as well because I don't interest in this game and I don't respect Rockstar.
An I the only person completely uninterested in the multiplayer aspect of the game?
Well, I am more interested in the single player as well.
but doing co op missions can be fun though.
I am also mostly interested in single player. But those heists actually look pretty appealing... I just feel like, they're gonna be broken...
Meh, I'll buy it around the holidays when it'll probably be half the price ... and even then I doubt I'll play it that much, given I never even finished GTA IV out of boredom and frustration ... GTA-type games are just not much of a big deal anymore.

GTA IV gets better once you get deeper in it. I thought, towards the end of the game it was getting sorta intense. I also personally liked how the game ended.

GTA V is the best selling GTA game ever and it has already sold over 40 Million copies. But hey... "GTA-type games are just not much of a big deal anymore." Wow...
I will definitely get GTA V for PC as i never played the Beta version on consoles but will wait for a sale.
As for how much it will sell on PC, i am guessing it will be around 1 million or so in the first month. 95% will pirate it anyways so only 5% legal buyers so just a tiny fraction of console sales.

More like 95% will buy it, the rest will pirate it.

They are on consoles. On PC some gamers don't care that much anymore...
@klunt_bumskrint: You are really not missing much... The Heists are cool, but the grind getting to everything is not worth it in my eyes... The game is not rewarding enough for me. I would rather play games with a loot system, than play all this time to unlock a gun or some new wheels for a car.

I am in minority but I like GTA 4 the most due its characters and realism. I don't like San Andreas. Too arcady for my taste and when it released on PC, I had already played games like Half Life, Freelancer, Max Payne 2 etc that blew my mind, so I thought graphics look ugly as hell (used to take graphics very seriously back then), still finished the game though. I also didn't like the direction they took with Max Payne 3 and they are trolling PC community for two years now, So right now I've no plans to get GTA V.
Lets not pretend it wont be heavily pirated. Having said that, the delays have helped give the game status, probably increasing sales than it would have, had it been released at an earlier date.
I suspect it will sell well, but nothing even approaching consoles.

It's been the top seller on Steam for a week straight and it's not even out yet.
So yeah I'm guessing it's going to be huge.

And that's what so sad about today's gamers and why Rockstar still gets away with what they do.
A company has no respect for a platform and yet they go out and pre-order like mindless zombies cause they want to play the game yesterday. Sigh.....
